Pag-IBIG Fund conducted the following activities related to its CSR program:
Assistance to TS Florita Victims in La Union
Pag-IBIG Fund, through the initiative of its Lingkod Pag-IBIG from the Ilocos Region Area, and in coordination with the Provincial Government of La Union, organized an outreach activity last 17 December 2022 to provide aid to the children and families of Barangay Rimos 5, Luna, La Union, who were severely affected by Typhoon Florita last August 2022.
The activity was initiated by thirty-six (36) Pag-IBIG employees using their own resources. It benefited 209 children (aged between 5-12 years old) and 12 families who were identified to be in most need of support. They received cash and in-kind donations, such as reusable plastic boxes, school supplies, hygiene kits, meals, and toys for the children. While, nearby Pag-IBIG branches, partner-employers, and business owners also sent support and provided additional donations and supplies of hygiene kits, school supplies, slippers, preloved clothes, groceries, and food packs.
Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene C. Acosta also donated 10 sacks of rice and Noche Buena packages for the families.
Home for the Angels: Crisis Home for Abandoned Babies Foundation, Inc.
Nineteen (19) children and fifteen (15) caregivers were given hygiene kits, including baby diapers, toothbrushes, and soaps, as well as groceries and sacks of rice as holiday gifts at the Home for the Angels – a Crisis Home for Abandoned Babies Foundation Inc., Manila on 8 December 2022.
This outreach activity was organized by the Pag-IBIG Support Services and Housing Group - Servicing Department Cluster. The Lingkod Pag-IBIG volunteers also prepared presentations, games, and prizes for the children.
Bloodletting Activity in Partnership with Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay
The Pag-IBIG Human Resource Department, in partnership with Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay and in support of the Rotary Club of Chinatown conducted a bloodletting activity in 22 July 2022. A total of 171 Lingkod Pag-IBIG donated their blood to support selected hospitals in NCR. Another bloodletting activity was conducted in 5 & 6 December 2022 during Pag-IBIG Fund’s Health and Wellness Fair Week which gathered a total of 28 Lingkod Pag-IBIG donors.
