Pag-IBIG Fund, Equitable sign agreement for overseas remittances

Pag-IBIG Fund, Equitable sign agreement for overseas remittances. The Pag-IBIG Fund and the Equitable PCI Bank recently signed an agreement that will allow the Fund’s members under its Pag-IBIG Overseas Program (POP), to remit their contributions and loan payments through the Bank’s Express Padala service. Under the Agreement, a POP member may simply walk into an Express Padala Subsidiary or Express Padala Affiliate and pay his monthly contributions or loan amortizations, or he can instruct the bank to debit his account for payment of his contributions or loan. With 208,493 members under its overseas program based in different countries around the world, the facility will help members remit their payments directly from abroad rather than having to authorize relatives in the Philippines to make their payments for them.
