Happy to be home from Lebanon

Pag-IBIG Fund member Josefina Lapeña enjoys a light moment with Vice President Noli “Kabayan” de Castro who handed o ver her check for her claims proceeds. Lapeña said she is thankful to the go vernment for bringing her home as she would not have been able to return home without the go vernment’s help. Lapena has been working for the past 12 years in Lebanon. This is the first time she was able to return home since 1994 because of problems with her work permit. Vice President Noli de Castro, concurrent Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council and the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees, earlier announced that affected members working in Lebanon who are registered under the Pag-IBIG O verseas Program (POP) will be allowed to withdraw their savings even prior to membership maturity because of work displacement.
